In the Netherlands commonly known as "the mushroom". In the past this product has been produced out of concrete. Which meant that a crane was needed to install it. Dragon Plastics provided the solution to produce this product out of polyethylene with polyethylene foam inside. Due to this combination the renewed ANWB-pole is as strong as a concrete one.
The advantages are the weight of the product and reduction costs for installing it. This saves time and money for the crane and its operator. A composite cap is mounted by means of the M16 insert, which has been placed during the production cycle.
